Specialised Somatic & Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Sometimes we reach a point where talking alone doesn't quite feel enough.
You may already understand your story. Perhaps you've had counselling before, read the books, listened to the podcasts, or spent years trying to make sense of yourself. Yet you still find yourself feeling exhausted, stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or as though your body hasn't quite caught up with everything you've learnt.
This is where my specialist Somatic & Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy can offer a different way of working.
Rather than trying to fix you or push through difficult experiences, we gently slow down. Together, we listen to what your body, nervous system, emotions and the different parts of you may be communicating, with curiosity, compassion and care.
Many of us have learnt to keep going, hold everything together, look after everyone else, or disconnect from our own needs because that's what once helped us cope. Over time, those ways of surviving can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.
It's about helping you reconnect with yourself, learning to understand your patterns with compassion, gradually and gently building a greater sense of inner safety, self-trust and belonging.
There is no rush and no expectation to have all the answers. We move at a pace that feels right for you, honouring your body, your energy and your capacity every step of the way.
My hope is that, over time, you may begin to feel calmer, more connected, and more at home within yourself, discovering a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

What is Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) are gentle approaches that help you understand yourself in a different way.
Somatic Therapy invites us to notice what your body might be communicating. Stress, trauma, grief, anxiety and difficult life experiences don't just live in our thoughts. They can also show up as tension, exhaustion, overwhelm, shutting down, or always feeling on edge. Together, we gently learn to listen to these signals, helping to support your nervous system to feel more settled and supported.
IFS is based on the idea that we all have different parts of ourselves. You might recognise an inner critic, a people-pleasing part, an anxious part, an angry part, or the part that's always trying to keep everything together.
Rather than fighting these parts or trying to get rid of them, we become curious about them. Often they have been working incredibly hard to protect you, even if the ways they do this no longer feel helpful.
You don't need any previous experience of Somatic Therapy or IFS. We'll explore everything together, slowly and in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Who might benefit from this specialised therapy?
This specialised Somatic & Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy may be a good fit if you're looking for something beyond talking alone.
Perhaps you've already had counselling or psychotherapy, done a lot of personal development, read the books, listened to the podcasts, and have a good understanding of your story, yet you still notice the same patterns showing up in your relationships, emotions or body. You may be interested in exploring a gentle embodied approach that helps you not only understand yourself, but experience changes from the inside out.
You might already be curious about Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment, nervous system regulation, reparenting or inner child work. Or this may be your first introduction to these approaches. Either way, you don't need any previous experience or knowledge. We simply begin where you are, moving at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
This work can be especially supportive if you're looking to deepen your self-understanding, reconnect with your body, develop greater self-compassion, and create a stronger sense of inner safety, self-trust and feeling at home within yourself.
As I continue my advanced specialist training in Somatic Trauma Therapy, I'm pleased to offer this work at a lower-cost sliding scale. This allows me to continue deepening my practice while making specialist Somatic & IFS-informed therapy more accessible and inclusive.

How I Continue to Deepen My Practice and the practioners that inspire me
I believe learning is a lifelong journey, and I'm committed to continually deepening my knowledge so I can offer the best possible support to the people I work with.
Alongside my work as an Integrative Counsellor, I'm currently training as a Somatic Trauma Therapist and have completed, and continue to undertake, specialist training in Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practice, Polyvagal Theory, trauma therapy, attachment, Jungian approaches, and nervous system healing.
My learning has been shaped by the work of leading therapists, researchers and practitioners, including Dr Richard C. Schwartz, Dr Frank Anderson, Peter Levine, Gabor Maté, Janina Fisher, Bessel van der Kolk, Dr Arielle Schwartz, Dr Rick Hanson, Dr Scott Lyons, Tara Brach, Lynn Fraser, Fran Booth and Kate Williams.
What matters most is how this learning translates into the therapy I offer. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed and trauma sensitive, body-aware and neuro-affirming, helping you understand yourself with greater compassion while supporting healing that works towards a felt sense of safety, gentleness and grounded in your own pace.
