Your gentle space to be heard

Who I help and support

Many of the people who come to work with me have spent a long time holding everything together.

They're often thoughtful, caring people who have become so used to looking after everyone else, pushing through, or coping on their own that they've lost touch with what they need.

Some tell me they feel like they're somehow "too much" and "not enough" at the same time. Others say they don't feel truly seen, heard or accepted for who they are. They may have spent years wondering why life feels harder than it seems to for other people.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, burnt out or exhausted. You may be living with anxiety, difficult family relationships, grief, chronic illness, neurodivergence, or the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. Perhaps you've reached a point where the ways you've always coped just aren't working in the same way anymore.

Many of my clients identify as highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or are beginning to wonder whether this might be part of their experience. Whether you have a diagnosis, are self-identifying, or are simply curious, I offer a neuro-affirming space where you are welcome exactly as you are.

Whatever has brought you here, my hope is to offer a space where you can finally take a breath, feel understood, and begin finding your way back to yourself.

Everyone's story is different, but people often come to see me because they're experiencing one or more of the following:

  • Anxiety, overthinking or feeling overwhelmed — when your mind never seems to switch off, you're constantly worrying, ruminating or life feels emotionally exhausting.
  • Burnout, stress or always feeling 'on alert' — when you've been running on empty for so long that you're not sure how to slow down anymore.

  • People-pleasing, boundaries and putting everyone else first — learning to notice your own needs, say no without guilt, and build healthier relationships.

  • Finding your voice — whether that's expressing anger, asking for what you need, or trusting yourself a little more.

  • Neurodivergence — exploring your experiences in a supportive, neuro-affirming space, whether you're diagnosed, self-identifying or questioning.

  • Relationships and family — including difficult family dynamics, estrangement, friendships, romantic relationships, and learning to navigate healthier connections.

  • Trauma and emotionally neglectful experiences — gently making sense of how the past may still be affecting you today, without having to revisit anything before you're ready.

  • Living with chronic illness, chronic pain or fatigue — acknowledging the emotional impact of ongoing health conditions and finding compassionate ways to support yourself.

  • Midlife, identity and life transitions — including menopause, changing relationships, career changes, questions about purpose, and times when life no longer feels like it once did.

  • Grief and loss — whether you've experienced bereavement, estrangement, changes in your health, or the quieter losses that can shape our lives.

  • Recovery from difficult family experiences or long-standing ways of coping — understanding how you've learnt to survive, while gently discovering new ways of caring for yourself with greater self-compassion.

  • LGBTQIA+ — offering an inclusive, affirming and welcoming space where you can explore identity, relationships and your experiences without judgement.

You don't need to fit neatly into any of these categories to come to counselling. Sometimes people simply know that something doesn't feel quite right anymore and want a space where they can pause, feel heard, and begin making sense of what's happening.

Wherever you find yourself right now, you're very welcome here.
