A gentle invitation to slow down
Many of the people I work with arrive feeling exhausted.
Perhaps you've spent years holding everything together, caring for others, pushing through, overthinking, people-pleasing, masking, or living in survival mode. You may be living with burnout, chronic illness, neurodiversity, trauma, or simply the emotional weight of life.
When our nervous system has been under stress for a long time, it can become difficult to truly rest. Even when we stop, our minds may keep racing, or our bodies may still feel tense, overwhelmed, or on high alert.
Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) gently invite us to slow down. Rather than trying to "fix" you, we begin by listening with curiosity and compassion to what your body, emotions, and different parts may be trying to communicate.
For many people, this work creates space to breathe a little more deeply, soften out of survival mode, and experience moments of calm, rest, and connection with themselves. Healing doesn't come from pushing harder, it often begins when we feel safe enough to slow down.
We move gently, at your pace, honouring your nervous system, your energy, and your capacity every step of the way.

A Gentle Introduction to Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) are gentle, trauma-informed approaches that can help you understand yourself with greater compassion and curiosity.
Somatic Therapy focuses on the connection between your mind, body, and nervous system. Stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, and difficult life experiences can often be held in the body as tension, exhaustion, overwhelm, or feeling shut down. Together, we gently notice what your body may be communicating, helping you feel more grounded, regulated, and connected to yourself.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is based on the idea that we all have different parts within us. You might recognise an inner critic, a people-pleasing part, an anxious part, an angry part, or the part that always tries to keep everything together. Rather than judging or trying to get rid of these parts, we become curious about them, understanding how they may have been trying to protect you and what they need.
Both approaches are collaborative, gentle, and move at a pace that feels right for you. There is no pressure to revisit difficult experiences before you feel ready. Instead, our work focuses on helping you build greater self-understanding, self-compassion, nervous system regulation, and a deeper sense of feeling safe and at home within yourself.

Who might this specialised therapy support?
This approach may be supportive if you're looking to understand yourself more deeply and are curious about the connection between your mind, body, emotions, and nervous system.
You may be living with the effects of trauma or difficult life experiences, feeling stuck in familiar patterns, struggling with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, harsh self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or simply sensing that talking therapy alone isn't quite reaching the deeper layers of your experience.
Together, we gently explore what may be happening beneath the surface, helping you better understand your emotions, patterns, protective responses, and different parts of yourself. There is no expectation to revisit traumatic experiences before you feel ready. We work slowly, collaboratively, and at a pace that feels safe for you.
My approach is trauma-informed, trauma-sensitive, neuro-affirming, body-affirming, and inclusive. I welcome people from all backgrounds and aim to create a therapeutic space that respects your unique experiences, communication style, sensory needs, and way of being.
If you're interested in exploring areas such as attachment, nervous system regulation, reparenting, inner child work, or Internal Family Systems (IFS), we can gently introduce these approaches together. No previous knowledge or experience is needed.
As I am currently undertaking advanced specialist training in Somatic Trauma Therapy, I am pleased to be able to offer this specialised work at a reduced rate while I continue to deepen and develop my practice.
