Counselling sessions

Sessions are offered on a sliding scale of £40–£55 per 50-minute session. As part of my values, I aim to make counselling as accessible as possible and recognise that financial circumstances vary for different people.

I also hold a small number of “pay what you can” bursary spaces for those who may otherwise face barriers to accessing support. If cost feels like a concern, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can gently explore what might feel manageable and supportive for you.

Somatic & Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

As I am currently in advanced specialist training, I currently am able to offer this work at a lower-cost sliding scale of £50-£65 per 50 minute  session. This allows me to continue developing my practice while keeping this work accessible, inclusive, and aligned with my community values.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never had counselling before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many people feel nervous, uncertain, or unsure about what to expect when reaching out for support for the first time. You don't need to prepare anything before getting in touch. We can simply begin with a gentle conversation about what you're looking for and whether working together feels like the right fit.

What happens before I book a session?

I offer a free 20-minute introductory chat. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what is bringing you to counselling, and get a sense of whether you feel comfortable working with me.

There is no pressure or obligation to continue. It is simply a chance for us to connect.

What can I expect from counselling?

Counselling offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about whatever feels important to you.

You don't need to know where to start or have the "right" words. We simply begin where you are and work at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

What if I feel nervous or find it difficult to talk?

Feeling nervous is completely normal, there is no expectation to share everything straight away, building trust takes time, and together we will create a space where you can feel safe, heard, and accepted.

Is your practice neurodiversity affirming?

Yes. I welcome and support neurodivergent clients, including those who identify as autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, highly sensitive, or who are exploring whether neurodiversity may be part of their experience.

As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand that there are many diverse ways we may all communicate, process information, experience emotions, or move through the world. Alongside my professional training, I believe my lived experience helps inform my commitment to creating a supportive, flexible, and neuro-affirming therapeutic space.

I aim to create a welcoming, body-positive, and neuro-affirming space where you can be yourself. You're welcome to bring a drink, use fidget toys, move around, take breaks, or settle into the session in whatever way feels most supportive for you.

Do you offer online or in-person counselling?

Yes. I currently offer online counselling sessions across the UK, as well as face-to-face sessions in Bristol.

Together we can explore which option feels most comfortable and supportive for you.

How often do sessions take place?

Sessions can be arranged to suit your needs and may include:

  • Weekly sessions

  • Fortnightly sessions

  • Short-term focused support

  • Longer-term ongoing therapy

Together we can discuss what feels most supportive, manageable, and aligned with your circumstances.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes. Accessibility and inclusion are important values within my practice, and I recognise that financial circumstances vary from person to person.

Where possible, I offer a sliding scale to help make my services more accessible. My aim is to balance affordable community-based support with a sustainable practice, ensuring that more people can access compassionate and professional therapeutic support.

I'm interested in coaching. Is that different from counselling?

Yes. While there can sometimes be overlap, wellbeing coaching tends to focus more on the present and future, supporting personal growth, wellbeing, life transitions, post-traumatic growth, burnout recovery, and creating a life that feels more aligned with your needs and values.

My coaching approach is gentle, reflective, trauma-informed and trauma sensetive, tailored to your individual circumstances. I am currently devloping this service and will be promoting it on my website.

I'm interested in Somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. How do I know if it's right for me?

Somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy offers a deeper, trauma-sensitive approach that explores the connection between the body, nervous system, emotions, life experiences, and the different parts of ourselves.

This work may be particularly supportive if you are interested in understanding recurring patterns, healing the impact of trauma or difficult life experiences, developing greater self-compassion, and creating a stronger sense of safety, connection, and belonging within yourself.

You don't need any previous experience of Somatic Therapy or IFS. Together we can explore whether this approach feels right for you.

I'm not sure whether I need counselling, coaching, or Somatic IFS Therapy.

That's completely okay. Many people are unsure when they first get in touch.

You don't need to decide before contacting me. During our introductory conversation, we can explore what has brought you here and which approach may feel most supportive. Sometimes one approach feels like the best fit, and sometimes elements can be integrated depending on your needs and preferences.

Will everything I share remain confidential?

Confidentiality is an important part of counselling, and what you share will be treated with care and respect. There are some legal and ethical exceptions relating to serious risk of harm or safeguarding concerns as covered by the ethical body the NCPS. I will explain more about this in my Counselling Agreement and before we begin working together.

How will I know if counselling is helping?

Counselling is different for everyone, and there is no right or wrong way to measure progress. Over time, many people find they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, feel more connected to their needs and strengths, experience greater self-compassion, and discover new ways of responding to life's challenges.

My hope is that our work together offers a supportive space for healing, self-discovery, growth, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.

I've had counselling or therapy before. Why might I choose to work with you?

Many of the people who come to work with me have already spent years on their healing journey. They may have had counselling before, explored personal development, attended workshops, read extensively, or developed a good understanding of themselves.

Sometimes people reach a point where they are looking for a different kind of therapeutic relationship or a deeper level of exploration. Others are seeking a space that feels more neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, body-aware, or aligned with their values and life experiences.

My approach combines counselling, wellbeing, community values, and specialist training in Somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. I bring warmth, curiosity, lived experience, and a belief that healing isn't about fixing yourself, but about developing greater understanding, compassion, connection, and a sense of feeling more at home within yourself.

Even if you've done a lot of work on yourself already, there can still be value in having a supportive space to pause, reflect, deepen your understanding, and continue growing.
