Your gentle space to be heard
Life can be challenging at times, and you don't have to navigate it alone, I offer a warm, compassionate, and supportive counselling space where you can slow down, explore what is happening for you, and feel heard without judgement or pressure.
My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and working at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can create a supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood as you explore the challenges and opportunities in your life.
Who I help and support
I am a calm, compassionate, and professional Integrated Counsellor, Wellbeing Coach & Facilitator, and Trainee Somatic Trauma Therapist. I am passionate about supporting people to feel more connected, understood, and resourced as they navigate life's challenges and transitions.
I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties, offering a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, supported, and accepted. Together, we can explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and create opportunities for healing, growth, and greater wellbeing at a pace that feels right for you.

Who I Work With
Many of the people who come to work with me are seeking support for challenges such as stress and overwhelm, anxiety and overthinking, burnout and exhaustion, low mood, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
Often, they are spinning many plates at once; balancing work, relationships, caring responsibilities, health challenges, or significant life changes. They may be living with chronic illness, navigating difficult family relationships, experiencing estrangement, adjusting to midlife transitions, or simply feeling exhausted from holding everything together for everyone else.
Many of my clients describe feeling both "too much" and "not enough" at the same time. Beneath this, there is often a quiet sense that something isn't working anymore and a longing for life to feel more manageable, meaningful, and aligned.
I also work with many people who identify as highly sensitive, neurodivergent, or who are exploring whether neurodiversity may be part of their experience. Whether diagnosed, self-identifying, curious, or questioning, I offer a neuro-affirming space where all parts of your experience are welcome.
Whatever brings you here, my hope is to offer a warm, compassionate space where you can slow down, feel heard without judgement, and begin to reconnect with yourself in ways that feel supportive, sustainable, and meaningful.
Often people come to work with me to explore one or more of these areas:
- Stress and overwhelm — finding ways to slow down, understand what is contributing to your stress, and develop supportive strategies that help you feel more balanced and resourced.
- Anxiety and overthinking — exploring the thoughts, feelings, and nervous system responses that may be keeping you stuck in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or constant mental activity.
- Burnout, exhaustion, or feeling constantly "on alert" — supporting you to slow down, reconnect with your needs, and find steadier ground when life feels overwhelming or emotionally demanding.
- People-pleasing, "good girl/boy" conditioning, and difficulty putting yourself first — exploring patterns of prioritising other people's needs, feeling responsible for everyone else, struggling to say no, and learning to develop healthier boundaries and self-trust.
- Suppressed anger and finding your voice — gently exploring emotions that may have felt unsafe to express, understanding the role anger can play as a healthy signal, and developing ways to communicate your needs, feelings, and boundaries with greater confidence and compassion.
- Neurodiversity — offering a safe, affirming space to explore your unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and support needs with understanding and compassion.
- Relationship challenges — exploring difficulties with partners, friends, family members, or colleagues, and understanding patterns, communication styles, and relationship dynamics.
- LGBTQIA+ support — providing an inclusive and affirming space to explore identity, relationships, belonging, self-expression, and life experiences.
- Midlife changes and transitions — supporting you through periods of change, including menopause, identity shifts, changing relationships, career changes, and questions around meaning or purpose.
- Living with chronic pain, fatigue, or health conditions — acknowledging the emotional impact of living with ongoing health challenges and exploring gentle ways to support yourself with compassion and care.
- Family estrangement and complex family relationships — navigating grief, loss, boundaries, family conflict, and rebuilding trust in yourself following difficult or painful family experiences.
- Recovering from trauma or emotionally neglectful environments — gently exploring the lasting impact of what has happened to you and supporting healing, self-understanding, and greater emotional safety.
- Recovery, co-dependency, and long-term coping patterns — exploring ways of relating that may have developed through survival, and building greater self-awareness, self-trust, and self-compassion.
- Adult children of alcoholics or dysfunctional families — understanding how early family experiences may continue to influence relationships, self-worth, emotional wellbeing, and patterns of coping in adulthood.
- Grief and loss — supporting you through bereavement, life transitions, estrangement, changing relationships, health challenges, and the many forms of loss that can shape our lives.
Support for diverse life experiences
I understand that starting counselling can feel intimidating, so I aim to create a space that feels calm, approachable, and genuinely supportive.
Alongside counselling, I bring over 30 years of experience in community wellbeing, creativity, inclusivity and accessibility work. This means I don’t just focus on problems or symptoms, I support people in reconnecting with themselves, their needs, their wellbeing, and a sense of balance in everyday life.
My approach is gentle, integrated, and tailored to each person, some sessions may focus on talking, exploring issues and experiences, reflection, while others may include grounding, body awareness, mindfulness, or exploring emotions in a more compassionate and supportive way.
I offer an affirming, inclusive, and compassionate space, my approach is body-affirming, neuro-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, people living with disability or chronic health conditions, people from diverse racial, cultural, faiths and religious backgrounds, grounded in compassion, respect, and inclusivity.
My approach is grounded in respect, curiosity, and understanding, recognising that each person’s experiences, identity, and relationship to the world are unique. I aim to create a space where you can feel safe, accepted, and able to bring your whole self without judgement.
At the heart of my work is helping people to feel safe, seen, accepted, and less alone in what they’re carrying.

Specialised Somatic & Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
Alongside my counselling and wellbeing work, I offer a specialised trauma-sensitive approach informed by Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Reparenting, Inner Child work, Attachment Theory, and Jungian perspectives.
This deeper therapeutic work supports exploration of trauma, complex trauma, nervous system patterns, emotional healing, self-understanding, and reconnecting with different parts of yourself. Together, we can gently explore how past experiences may continue to influence your relationships, sense of self, emotional wellbeing, and everyday life.
This approach may be particularly supportive for those navigating trauma, complex trauma, family estrangement, emotionally neglectful environments, chronic stress, burnout, life transitions, and a longing to feel more connected, compassionate, and at home within themselves.
It can also support people who find themselves stuck in patterns of overwhelm, hypervigilance, people-pleasing, or constantly being in "doing" mode, helping to create greater self-understanding, nervous system regulation, and more space for rest, safety, and ease.
If this deeper inner work resonates with you, as I am currently undertaking advanced specialist training in Somatic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, I am able to offer this work at a reduced rate while I continue to deepen, integrate, and develop my specialist skills and knowledge. This reflects my commitment to ongoing professional development, alongside my values of making therapy as accessible, inclusive, and community-focused as possible.
