Creating a Home Within
Specialised Somatic & Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy
For me, Creating a Home Within is at the heart of everything I do.
It's about gently finding your way back to yourself after spending so long surviving.
Many of us have learnt to keep going, hold everything together, look after everyone else, or disconnect from our own needs simply because that's what helped us cope. Over time, we can lose touch with who we are beneath the stress, burnout, difficult relationships, trauma, or the expectations we've carried for so long.
Creating a Home Within is a gentle, compassionate way of working that supports you to reconnect with yourself, your body, your emotions, and the different parts of you with greater curiosity, understanding and care.
Together, we move slowly, creating a space where all parts of you are welcome. A space where you don't need to perform, have all the answers, or keep pushing through.
Using Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we gently explore what your body and nervous system may be communicating, helping you build a greater sense of safety, self-understanding and connection from the inside out.
For me, healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's about slowly creating a place within yourself that feels safe enough to rest, breathe, belong and simply be who you are.

A Gentle, Compassionate Approach to Healing
Sometimes we reach a point where talking alone doesn't quite feel enough.
You may understand your story. You might have had counselling before, read the books, listened to the podcasts, and spent years trying to make sense of yourself. Yet part of you still feels exhausted, stuck, disconnected, or like your body hasn't quite caught up with everything you've learnt.
This is often where Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) can gently support a different kind of healing.
Rather than trying to change or fix you, we slow down together. We begin listening to your body, your emotions and the different parts of you with curiosity, compassion and care.
Many people tell me this work helps them feel calmer, more connected and more at home within themselves. It isn't about pushing through or digging deeper for the sake of it. It's about creating enough safety for healing to unfold at a pace your nervous system can manage.
There is no rush. We move gently, honouring your body, your energy and your capacity every step of the way.

What is Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)?
Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) are gentle approaches that help you understand yourself in a different way.
Somatic Therapy invites us to notice what your body might be communicating. Stress, trauma, grief, anxiety and difficult life experiences don't just live in our thoughts. They can also show up as tension, exhaustion, overwhelm, shutting down, or always feeling on edge. Together, we gently learn to listen to these signals, helping your nervous system feel more settled and supported.
IFS is based on the idea that we all have different parts of ourselves. You might recognise an inner critic, a people-pleasing part, an anxious part, an angry part, or the part that's always trying to keep everything together.
Rather than fighting these parts or trying to get rid of them, we become curious about them. Often they have been working incredibly hard to protect you, even if the ways they do this no longer feel helpful.
You don't need any previous experience of Somatic Therapy or IFS. We'll explore everything together, slowly and in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Who might benefit from this specialised therapy?
This specialised therapy may be a good fit if you're looking for something beyond talking alone.
Perhaps you've already had counselling and talk therapy and feel ready to explore your healing in a deeper way. Or maybe you're curious about the connection between your mind, body, emotions and nervous system.
If you're curious about nervous system healing, attachment, reparenting, inner child work or Internal Family Systems (IFS), we can explore these together. No previous knowledge is needed, just a willingness to begin exactly where you are.
As I'm currently completing advanced specialist training as a Somatic Trauma Therapist, I'm able to offer this work at a lower-cost sliding scale while I continue to deepen my practice.
Who I am inspired by with this therapeutic work
I am currently training to be a Somatic Trauma Therapist and I have also completed and continue to undertake a range of specialised trainings and workshops in Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Informed (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, SpecialistTrauma Training, Attachment work, Jungian Therapy, and Nervous-system healing.
My learning has been shaped by the work of inspiring therapists, teachers, and practitioners including Gabor Maté, Lynn Fraser, Dr Frank Anderson, Dr Arielle Schwartz, Dr. Richard C. Schwartz, Dr Rick Hanson, Fran Booth, Kate Williams, Tara Brach, Bessel van der Kolk, Dr Scott Lyons, and Janina Fisher.
These approaches continue to shape the way I work, helping me offer therapy that is compassionate, body-aware, trauma-sensitive, and grounded in understanding how our experiences can affect both our nervous systems, our relationships with ourselves and our relationships with others.
