Common challenges I support

Many individuals come to me seeking support for challenges such as stress and overwhelm, anxiety and overthinking, burnout and exhaustion, or low mood and feeling stuck. I also provide a safe space for those experiencing loss of confidence or self-worth, relationship difficulties, loneliness, and life transitions.

Support for diverse life experiences

I understand that starting counselling can feel intimidating, so I aim to create a space that feels calm, approachable, and genuinely supportive.

Alongside counselling, I bring over 30 years of experience in community wellbeing, creativity, inclusivity and accessibility mindfulness, workshops, retreats, and holistic support. This means I don’t just focus on problems or symptoms, I support people in reconnecting with themselves, their needs, their wellbeing, and a sense of balance in everyday life.

My approach is gentle, integrated, and tailored to each person. Some sessions may focus on talking and reflection, while others may include grounding, body awareness, mindfulness, or exploring emotions in a more compassionate and supportive way. I also offer an affirming space for neurodivergent people, LGBTQIA+ clients, and those living with chronic health conditions or burnout.

At the heart of my work is helping people to feel safe, seen, accepted, and less alone in what they’re carrying.

We understand that life presents unique complexities. We offer support for grief and loss, family challenges, navigating neurodiversity, chronic health conditions, disabilities, and chronic stress from caring responsibilities. If you're looking to set better boundaries, require emotional support during difficult periods, or simply want a space to talk and feel heard, we are here for you. We also help individuals learn to slow down and reconnect with themselves, fostering greater self-awareness and wellbeing.

What to expect: Your journey to wellbeing

Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time, I aim to make the process feel as gentle and welcoming as possible. Here’s what you can expect:

Free initial chat

We begin with a free 20-minute initial chat. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions, share a little about what’s bringing you to counselling, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There’s no pressure or expectation, it’s simply a chance to connect.

Comfortable pace and open dialogue

If you decide to begin sessions, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. Counselling is a space where you can talk openly, feel listened to without judgement, and gradually explore what’s been feeling difficult or overwhelming.

Progress and lasting wellbeing

Over time, many people begin to feel more understood, more connected to themselves, and better able to cope with life’s challenges. Together, we work towards building self-awareness, emotional resilience, self-compassion, and a greater sense of steadiness and wellbeing.
